With a nickname like ‘Stassiebaby’, this girl is going to be as difficult to forget as her name is to say. While Stassie Karanikolaou was born ‘Anastasia’, most of the world simply knows her as Stassie, and she is the social media whirlwind who just happens to be best friends with Kylie and Kendall Jenner. The fact that she has more than five-million Instagram followers is a bigger claim to fame, in the opinion of many. So, who is Stassie Karankolaou, and where did she come from? Gemini women are said to be highly intelligent, with thought processes that move so quickly that she is hard to keep up with, and she is constantly changing. Referred to as the ‘Twins’, Geminis are also said to have two sides, and they are difficult to tell apart while being clearly distinguishable at the same time. I’m sure that all you fans out there of the Jenner sisters have seen these traits in this celeb!
2. Early Life
Stassie was born in California to World Financial Group broker Periklis Nikolaos Karanikolaou, her father; no information has been given regarding her natural mother. Stepmother Nicolette Karanikolaou appears to have a very good relationship with Stassie, and she also has a sister named Alexia who is featured often on Stassie’s Instagram account, and is a hairdresser as well.
3. Her Friendship With Kylie Jenner
Most have assumed that Stassie and Kylie Jenner have only gotten close since the Kardashians gave Kylie’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods, the boot for a supposed fling with the boyfriend of another Kardashian sister. But the truth is that Kylie, Kendall, and the Greek-born Karanikolaou have been friends for more than nine years. According to Kendall, the three of them have been close ever since (though Kendall seems more like a third wheel when it comes to the friendship). Stassie has even lived with Kylie, and the pair sport identical tattoos, which boast the name ‘Stormi’ (Kylie’s daughter).
4. Professional History
With all honesty, we can say that Stassie’s main focus, as far as being a celebrity is concerned, is her social media status. She is very active on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Vine, and is able to claim an astronomical amount of followers. Much of the attention is likely attributed to her beauty (we’ll get to THIS in a bit), but the ‘twin’ pics of her and Kylie that seem so incessant are likely what really garners all the attention. Aside from that, the 5’7” beauty has modeled professionally for companies like Good American, Pretty Little Thing, and more, and she is also has several Nation A-Llist Magazine photo shoots under her belt, as well as Teen Vogue shoots. Another claim to fame has to do with her looks. Stassie has undergone MANY plastic surgery procedures to alter her appearance so that it is more to her liking. When it comes to her education, Stassie has managed to keep her lips sealed, according to All-Star Bio. We know that she attended high school along with the Jenner girls, staying at their home much of the time during those years, but there is no record of, nor any statement from her, that reveals any college attendance. Since she does so well with her social media ventures and modeling, and since her family certainly isn’t poor, it’s our guess that Stassie simply decided to put off collegiate studies until later on in life.
6. Stassie’s Net Worth
Being a young adult who came from money, it isn’t appropriate to state her family’s funds as part of her net worth. But that’s okay, because Stassie isn’t doing too badly for herself. The 22-year-old has a net worth that falls between $1 million and $5 million, according to a variety of combined sources, including IMDb and Forbes (referenced by Celebs Trend Now). The same source claims that her net worth last year fell between $100k and $1 million, so she has had a major jump in worth in the last twelve months, which says quite a bit. Her primary source of income is her Instagram account, but her annual net from that source is yet to be revealed.
7. Relationship Status
It was last reported that Stassie has been dating another social media sensation, Zane Hijazi of YouTube fame, earlier this year. In 2016 she got quite a bit of attention for dating yet another from social media, Sam Wilkinson; the short-lived relationship lasted only a year. It is reported that the much-posted pair broke up due to Wilkinson cheating habitually, a fact which Stassie quickly stated, and restated, on her own social media pages (she did delete a number of posts in the days to come).
8. Transportation and Housing
While there is no concrete information available that states what kind of car Stassie has, or even if she OWNS a car at all, BFF Kylie has made it very clear that her sidekick can drive her orange Lamborghini anytime she likes. Some Instagram followers thought the gesture was an awesome display of friendship, while the cattier set made digs about how Stassie is basically nothing more than a second-rate fill-in for Jordyn Woods. On the other hand, car or not, Stassie did reveal that she bought her first house recently, and she is very excited to be moving in and getting things together to her liking.
9. ‘You Can’t Coast Through the Future On A Kardashian Yacht’
While it seems that Stassie is living quite the worry-free life thus far, and it is mostly true that she is, one is forced to wonder if she has considered her future at all. Well, the answer is a resounding ‘Yes!’, followed by several vague mumblings. In truth, it was during her very first photo shoot with Nation A-List Magazine that she indulged us with her preponderances of her life a decade away. ‘In 10 years I hope to see myself modeling a lot and working in the entertainment business’, she stated. Superficial? A bit. But keep in mind that she said that in January of 2014, which made it the utterance of a seventeen-year-old girl. Later, in a profile laid down for Good American by Khloe Kardashian, she was quoted by Bustle as saying, “In five years I would like to see myself more prominent in the fashion and beauty world. I would love to do a lot more modeling and many more different campaigns. But most importantly, I would love to help change the world we live in. 10. On ‘Replacing’ Jordyn Woods
We read quite a bit about Stassie being the seeming ‘replacement’ for Kylie’s former BFF, model Jordyn Woods. It’s true that Stassie suddenly began to appear in places that Woods alone formerly occupied (selfies, dress-up pics, family vay-cays, etc). But it is important to keep two things in mind before we wave Stassie off as someone being used to ‘make due’ for Jenner. First, she has been a friend of Jenner’s since she was around eleven years of age, so she has a fair amount of Kardashian experience; in other words, she fits in. Secondly, she not only fits in, but she fits in WELL. Between her good looks, comfortable camera presence, and familiarity with the family, it would have been a travesty for Kylie to opt for anyone else to fill the void left by Woods. While reality television on the Kardashian level really isn’t something we here have indulged in on a regular basis, it was difficult to miss the fact that Kylie Jenner and her ‘new’ BFF were filling screens large and small together. Some avid viewers already had a firm grasp on who Stassie Karanikolaou is and why she and Kylie were apparently joined at the hip suddenly, but others were in a fog about the young woman’s almost immediate dissidence of Woods.
